Oxford Solid Mechanics is an initiative to promote interaction between researchers throughout the University of Oxford who work on the mechanics of solids across the full range of spatial and temporal scales. This website collects together information about people and events in Oxford that are of interest to the Oxford Solid Mechanics community. The website also promotes activities organised by the network.

5th LIMA Users Club Meeting
When: Wednesday, 15th of March, 2017
Where: Department of Engineering Science (LR7, IEB)
The Laboratory for In-situ Microscopy and Analysis (LIMA) is pleased to announce that it will hold its 5th Users Club Meeting on the 15th of March 2017 in the Department of Engineering Science (LR7, IEB). Since its launch the Laboratory has enjoyed a number of exciting collaborations aimed at gaining further insight into fundamental aspects of material behaviour in areas ranging from Biology and Physics through to Engineering and Materials Science. This is a friendly and informal event, which presents an opportunity for past, current and future users and industrial partners to share their research, exchange ideas, etc. Refreshments will be provided and there will be an opportunity to visit the facility.
